Angels And Demons Review

Angels and Demons

“Angels and Demons” directed by Ron Howard, is a Mystery/Thriller, starring Tom Hanks.
A Harvard symbologist is asked to help with a murder scene in Vatican where victims are marked with the Illuminati symbol.
The Characters in “Angels and Demons” are quite believable. Strangely enough Tom Hanks acted well in the film. The Professer, The Sidekick, The Villain, it really reassembles the Sherlock Holmes stories. The movie itself is good, mysterious and with a golden touch to it. It feels real and true at most point, and “Angels and Demons” really doesn't look like the typical Hollywood movies. No special effects at all! The stress in the middle of the film is high around the Vatican Archives scene, you literally feel the pressure!
The plot is somewhat true in it's way. You see the Religious struggles around Vatican as well was the stress of “Who will be the new Pope” event. The setting was fine. Not much more to say really, a good film, good actors, good scenery work, well directed. I'd give it a 5.7/10.
